Circa 1758-60
He with black tricorn hat, puce-edged ruff, yellow-lined puce cape, yellow jacket with slashed brown sleeves, pink waistcoat, puce breeches and black shoes with yellow rosettes, his companion with her hair in a chignon, with pink-edged ruff, gilt-trimmed and buttoned green bodice with yellow border and slashed pink sleeves, flowered apron, pink flowered skirt and yellow shoes with brown ribbons, both standing before a tree-stump on a four-footed green and puce pierced scroll base (restoration to hands, some fingers lacking, other minor chips)
