Two Kelsterbach fayence sweetmeat-stands
Circa 1765
Formed as a finely dressed gentleman and a farm-girl, he seated on a waisted square base, wearing a plumed turban, a long fur-lined coat over a pale-orange tunic, holding a branch in his left hand and supporting a shell on his knees with his right hand, she seated on a waisted square base extended at the front, in a white hat over a green head-scarf, a yellow bodice, green-edged apron and striped skirt, with both hands holding a large cornucopia supported on a scroll at her feet (he with extensive restoration, she with restoration to hat, rim of cornucopia and left edge of base, minute fritting to extremities)
