A Sevres oviform teapot and cover
1771, blue interlaced L marks enclosing date letter S and painter's mark of Micaud
Painted with an entwined blue ribbon, berried laurel and a garland of garden flowers continuing up the spout beneath a border of radiating blue panels gilt with seed ornament and edged in gilding, the ear-shaped handle gilt with flowerheads and edged in gilding, the cover with gilt and white carnation finial (slight chips to tip of spout and finial)
