A Höchst cup and a trembleuse saucer
Circa 1780, blue wheel marks, cup incised 1 V (?) A
The cup with slightly tapering sides and moulded angular gilt handle, the tapering foot moulded with flutes, painted with four boys by a river in a wooded landscape, the saucer with scattered insects and radiating moulded fluted gadroons about a pierced gallery, gilt line rims (saucer with restored chipping to rim and damage to gallery, section of rim with associated re-touching to gilding) (2)
