Lot Essay

Comparable to drawings by Galloche sold in these Rooms, 5 July 1988, lots 118-20 and 4 July 1989, 119-121, illustrated, two of which were related to Coriolanus in the Camp of the Volsci, in Orléans. These drawings also came from the Duvivier family, medallists active in the 18th Century whose collection remained intact until the 1980s.
