A rare collection of correspondence and documents relating to midwifery,
including two certificates to John Greatrex one inscribed These are to certify, that Mr John Greatrex hath diligently attended my lectures on the Theory and Practice of Midwifery, and the Diseases of Women and Children; & that he attended in various cases of labor's. In Witness whereof, I have hereonto signed my name - Richard Dennison M.D.F.R.S. London Hospital Jany 1814; a Rules and Regulations leaflet of the Apothecaries and Surgeon-Apothecaries of England and Wales meeting held in Stafford on the 21st October, 1814; and an exceptionally rare chamois leather covered stuffed model of an infant for obsteric instruction with well sculpted wooden head, also chamois leather covered, rib cage and umbilical cord -- 21½in. (54.5cm.) long
