Die notes: Stylistically similar to preceding, but different dies. Obverse with close date, numerals closer than on the preceding. 5 (1852) low and 2 very low. o The reverse die of this and the preceding seem to have been made by using a motif punch with eagle, rock, shield, and ribbon in beak, and blank ribbon above, with branch details and 880 THOUS: added by hand. Border letters and numerals were added individually. Die state: Reverse with THREE (GRS.) mostly filled. PCGS Data: One of three similar examples representing the only such coins from the S.S. Central America treasure certified by PCGS.
