A collection of material gathered by Evelyn Buck, an Englishwoman who worked for Douglas Fairbanks Jnr. and his family for twenty years, including:
- two black and white publicity photographs of Fairbanks, one signed and inscribed in blue felt pen For Evelyn - "one of the family" with all warm good wishes to you from Douglas Fairbanks, 1974 -- 9x7in. (23x17.8cm.) framed; and a black and white publicity photograph of Fairbanks with his second wife Mary Lee Hartford and their three children -- 8¼x10in. (21x25.4cm.), with corresponding envelope
- a running dialogue in Fairbanks' hand on both sides of three sheets of lined yellow paper, titled For Evelyn, written on the occasion of her retirement in 1969/1970, Fairbanks writes a story-like reminiscence for Evelyn to read on her journey back to England, ending...And we, back here, are still saying & thinking, fondly and gratefully of you - and that there are still many things to see & do....oh, EVELYN!, Bon Voyage - and Toodle-loo - and we'll be seeing you soon!, D.F.; and a fourth sheet written by Fairbanks' wife, Mary...Evelyn dear - this is a little note to read on your way home...Spending 8 months with you, like peas in a pod, I have come to know your rare qualities...It has been an experience for me...
