A REGENCY WHITE-PAINTED AND PARCEL-GILT OPEN ARMCHAIR
The rectangular padded back, arms and seat covered in red and green- striped silk, with a reeded frame, the scrolled back with lappeted terminals, the arms with fluted, scrolled and acanthus-wrapped ends and lion mask terminals, on fluted and stiff-leaf wrapped turned baluster supports, the rounded seat-rail with crossing leaves, on ring-turned tapering, fluted legs, headed by anthemion centred panels and with stiff-leaf collars, the feet wrapped with further stiff-leaves, with sabre legs headed by patera panels to the reverse, redecorated with blue paint inscription to seat-rail '055'
