17th Century
Decorated overall with flowers and foliage and iron bands, the hinged rectangular top with a concealed lock and pierced engraved lockplate depicting hippocamps to the reverse, enclosing a plain interior with a small safe, the front with a pierced foliate simulated lock, the sides with iron carrying handles, losses to the decoration
