A Viennese silver and enamel desk timepiece, circa 1880
The oval case painted to the reverse with classical ladies and with cockerel finial, supported by a caparisoned elephant standing on a pediment above a domed base with painted circlets (two damaged) and interspersed with cherub masks, the Roman dial decorated in enamel with foliate motifs (lacking front glass), with pocket watch movement -- 71/8in. (18cm.) high
