An Hispano-Moresque copper-lustre dish
Late 16th century
The raised central boss with a rabbit on a shield surround by four wedge-shaped cartouches of foliage and a band of calligraphy within a spirally-moulded border of panels of flowers and diaper-ornament, the reverse with meandering fronds in concentric bands, pierced (rim chips and cracks, glaze flaking to boss and raised rims, overall scratching to lustre)
