A Sèvres ballooning trembleuse cup, cover and stand
1784, mauve interlaced L marks, date letters gg and painter's mark for Vielliard, incised 9 and 3780 to cup and 36 to stand
The cup painted with a balloon in flight above a château and three figures within a gilt and puce medallion flanked by two smaller panels with a seascape and a basket of eggs before a table between bands of gilt, blue, puce and orange ornament, the cover similarly decorated with three panels, one with the royal crown with two doves in flight above, another with a basket of eggs and a churn in a landscape and the other with a lady in a landscape, with gilt fruit finial, the stand also similarly painted, with three panels one with a donkey, another with a man going fishing and another with a lady and a dog, gilt dentil rims (minute chip to one leaf of finial, very slight rubbing to rim of cup and cover)
