An important pamphlet emphasising Trotsky's ideological split from the main party. After Lenin's death a year later he was gradually to fall from favour, culminating in his expulsion from the Communist Party in 1927 and exile in 1929. Much of Trotsky's writing was suppressed or destroyed and early editions of his works are scarce.
