Levels: Good levels; old moulded bottles, rewaxed with tag labels
A very good, widely declared vintage : 24 shippers, several 1896's tasted but Martinez only once, in 1972 : pale in colour; bouquet severe at first but opened up well, with raisin-like fruitiness; still sweet, lightish, nice flavour, well preserved. MB
