A Meissen Chinoiserie flared beaker
Circa 1740, blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummer 23
Painted in the manner of J.E. Städler in underglaze blue, coloured enamels and gilding, with two children and an Oriental lady holding various types of fan on a fenced terrace among flowering plants and a vase, a bird and insects in flight, gilt line rims (chip to rim and minute chip to footrim, slight wear to gilding)
