A Meissen Hausmalerei Chinoiserie rectangular fluted tea-caddy and cover
Circa 1740, blue crossed swords and H mark to inside of neck
Painted in underglaze-blue with flowering plants and overglaze enamels and gilt in the manner of Ferner with Orientals among fences, flowering plants, birds and a palm-tree, four flower-sprays to the shoulder, the cover with flower-sprays within blue and gilt reserves and with a gilt pine-cone finial (minute chips to shoulder and slight wear to gilding)
