A Meissen lilac-ground bullet-shaped teapot and cover Circa 1740, blue crossed swords mark, painter's iron-red 2 mark to both pieces, incised arrow mark to footrim
Painted with harbour scenes, one side with figures on rocks before a tent and a galleon, the other side with figures among boats with fishing-nets before a castle, within ogival black line cartouches, the cover similarly decorated, the bird's head spout, wishbone handle and pine-cone finial enriched in gilding, gilt line rims (slight blemishes to footrim, very slight rubbing to gilding on spout)
