An identical example from the collection of The Henry Francis du Pont Winterthur Museum is illustrated in Victor Houart Miniature Silver Toys, page 193, plate 245. That example is described as maker's mark DB in two interlocking ovals, presumably the mark of David Clayton entered in 1720.
