A collection of material relating to Margot Fonteyn's childhood, including: an early presentation certificate for a Competition in aid of "Sunshine" Homes For Blind Babies, inscribed in black ink to certify that Peggy Hookham gained Honours with 78 marks in Character Dancing at the Semi-final, dated 13th March, 1926; approximately eighty photographs, 1920s-1930s, by various photographers, including a number of duplicate images (some printed later), subjects include: Fonteyn as a baby and child, early performances in Shanghai, with her father and brother Felix, with school friends, largest -- 10x8in.
