Provenance
This ring, together with the following lot, were originally the property of the former Russian diplomat Adolph Eduard Alexander Stelp, born in Russia in 1869, he married Alexandra von Essen in St Petersburg in 1915. After fleeing from Russia and settling in England, he formed the steamship firm of Stelp & Leighton Ltd with his friend Captain Leighton. He died in a London nursing home in 1932 at the age of 63.
