Kann.1455 (this coin), E.Kann sale Schulman New York, March 1972, lot.2997. I.Goodman collection, Superior Galleries, June 1991, lot 1857 (realised $2970). Although described as unique in previous sales, at least four other examples are now known, of which this is easily the finest in existence. This type was only issued for a few months before being recalled by the Chinese when the Emperor decreed that all coins struck in his name should have the legend in both Chinese and Tibetan.
