A CHIPPENDALE CEDAR CHEST-ON-FRAME
Bermuda, late 18th century
In two sections: the upper with a rectangular molded lid above a conforming case opening to reveal a compartmented interior fitted with a till over two short drawers with cockbeaded surrounds; the lower with a conforming mid-molding and frame, on tapering square legs with fan-carved returns (the frame and lower part of chest later)
