The finial as a seated kylin clutching a ball in its raised right forepaw, the domed cover, cylindrical neck, flaring shoulder, shield-shaped body and circular socle foot painted and reserved in shades of iron-red enriched in gilt with birds perched on branches of large peonies and chrysanthemum, raised on a further square colorful faux-marble base
