THE DIAL SIGNED EDWARD BROWNE, NORWICH, Circa 1725
The matt arched dial with Arabic and Roman numeral chapter ring, and centered by a seconds ring, with pierced hands, the twin train movement striking the hour, a date aperture at bottom with subsidiary dial, scrolled foliate spandrels and the signature flanked by dolphins and scrolled foliate spandrels within an arched, glazed hood flanked by columnar supports, glazed sides and with three later metal finials, above a central door decorated with figures and buildings in a landscape on a molded base with bracket feet, decorated throughout with floral and stylized floral designs
