The rectangular top above a rolltop lifting to reveal a pull-out writing surface with black leather-inset adjustable stand, flanked on the right by writing wells, beneath four short drawers centering six pigeonholes above four sham drawers, with two cockbeaded frieze drawers, on tapering square legs with spade feet, later brasses
