A Japanese bronze fuchi
19th Century, signed
inlaid in gold, mother-of-pearl and silver with a fly -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide; a shakudo fuchi decorated with a mythical beast holding a drum, signed -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide; a bronze fuchi decorated with figures and buffalo beneath trees -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide; a bronze fuchi decorated with a samurai chasing a dear, the reverse with pine trees, signed -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide; an iron fuchi decorated with a figure beside mushrooms, the reverse with birds in flight, signed -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide; another bronze fuchi decorated with grain simulating wood and flower sprays, with matching kashira, signed -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide; and two kashira, one decorated with flowers the other with dogs amongst flowers -- 13/8in. (3.5cm.) max. wide, (rubbing).
