Lot Essay

Having been associated with the Walther PPK from the moment M forces 007 to exchange it for his lighter-weight Beretta in the first film Dr. No, thirty-five years later, in Tomorrow Never Dies, Bond changes his trademark Walther PPK, for a new model - the Walther P99, given to him by Red Chinese agent, Wai Lin [Michelle Yeoh]. According to Worrall and Pfeiffer The sleek and deadly 9mm weapon has a magazine capacity of up to sixteen rounds [nine more than Bond's traditional Walther PPK 7.65]

According to the vendor, this gun is one of only five rubber stunt guns made for the stealth boat scenes in the film.
