Lot Essay

The Dragon Tank in the film is Dr. No's principal defence against trespassers on Crab Key Island. He disguises a flame-throwing armoured vehicle as a dragon to keep superstitious locals away. After Bond [Sean Connery] quashes Honey Ryder's [Ursula Andress] and Quarrel's [John Kitzmiller] innocent belief in the existence of dragons, by pointing out the tracks of the armoured vehicle, they all discover the Dragon Tank's deadly dangers when Quarrel falls victim to its flames during a gun battle.
