Dawson) registered to Jammu bearing ½a. (2) and 1a. cancelled with large blue-black seal obliterator and with Jammu registration h.s. alongside, and a range of later covers (9) all showing Gilgit 1883-91 duplex used at Leh, with some incoming items

Note: The Gilgit duplex was originally destined for use in the north west of the State. Following the Jammu and Kashmir Government's loss of control of Gilgit the duplex was issued to Leh where it remained in use until 1891
