Like the 1990, an outstanding wine, massively structured and for long-keeping. Noted at the Feinn/Coates Musigny tasting in March, 1998: deep purple-violet color. Intense peppery black-cherry aromas, with a citrusy edge which adds excitement. Flavors are dense yet supple, with substantial but well-rounded tannins. The finish is long and alcoholic, but tamed by buttery oak. FH
