Today some of her clothes are on show at the Victoria and Albert Museum. It was at her home the Chateau de Cande that the Duke and Duchess of Windsor staged their wedding in 1937.
A brown woollen jacket, lined in black beaver plush, labelled BALENCIAGA and tagged 75222, 1960s; a black woollen coat, fastening with two large pierced metal buttons embellished with clear pastes and with three-quarter length sleeves, labelled BALENCIAGA 61619; a navy blue wool three-quarter length coat, with detached BALENCIAGA label; a suit of navy blue bouclé wool, comprising jacket fastening with three decorative pierced metal buttons and skirt, labelled BALENCIAGA and tagged 72.194, 1960s; and a slate grey woollen suit, labelled BALENCIAGA and tagged 81574 (5)
