Edo-Meiji Period (19th Century), the third with signature Tozan
The first with an applied squid of gilt-metal, on a lacquered woven-rattan body, the wood top wrapped with a decorative band of rattan; the second carved in sunken relief with a design of Kintaro on his carp in swirling clouds and applied with brown lacquer; the third lightly stained wood, with Buddhist symbols inlaid in shell, ivory, coral, and wood, signature carved within rectangular shell reserve
