The front inlaid with scrolling foliage and interlaced strapwork, the glazed sides inlaid with tortoiseshell panels, the arched glazed case centred by the velvet-covered dial with silvered Roman chapter ring with minute aperture and half-hour markers, above a pierced foliate engraved plaque inscribed Philippe Tiblemont A Paris, the movement with verge escapement, cyclodial cheeks and outside countwheel strike on a bell above, the backplate inscribed Philippe Tiblemont A Paris, on toupie feet, restorations
