Lot Essay

The rifle is of very good quality and it appears to have been relatively little used. The year 2001 is the Centenary of President Theodore Roosevelt's African Tour and, as he was a great exponent of Winchester's .405 cartridge, a large quantity of new .405 ammunition will be produced this year
