The painting after François Boucher, the trumeau circa 1750 and originally a single panel, now adapted to form two panels
The later plate within a molded and scrolled flowering acanthus-sheathed surround centered top and bottom with an acanthus-sheathed scrolled rocaille and shell cartouche, surmounted by a canvas in the manner of François Boucher depicting putti working at a forge within a molded and flowering acanthus-sheathed shaped surround centered at the bottom with an acanthus-sheathed rocaille shell cartouche above a floral trellis ground within a later plain frame, the floral trellis shaped section of the upper panel and the plain shaped panelled top of the lower section later, originally fitted
