A SPANISH COLONIAL BAROQUE SILVER AND METAL-MOUNTED EBONY, TORTOISESHELL AND IVORY MINIATURE CHEST
Late 17th Century
Of rectangular form with two short over a long drawer fronted with two simulated short drawer fronts, the top, sides and back each with ebony-surround and ivory stringing to the tortoiseshell geometric inlay, with griffin-formed small bracket feet and lions mask hoop pulls to each drawer front, the silver mounts possibly associated, originally with bun feet
