the hunter in Highland dress, modelled standing, his right hand on his hip his left hand holding the spear with the captured otter aloft, two hounds at his feet, well coloured and enriched with gilt, on rocky mound base applied with grassy tufts upon a shaped oval gilt-line base, circa 1845 (some minor overpainting to the enamels, typical crazing to the glaze and very minor chips) -- 43cm. high
