The leaf-carved toprail centred by a paper scroll, above a caned back and seat, the channelled arms terminating in hippopotamus heads, joined by a later removable turned baton, above a scrolling foliate apron, and on turned spirally-fluted legs, the front legs with scrolling foliate foot-rest, above an H-shaped stretcher, on ring turned toupie feet, minor restorations
17½ in. (44.5 cm.) wide; 34¾ in. (88 cm.) high; 16½ in. (42 cm.) deep
