Crossbanded overall in rosewood, with further tulipwood crossbanding and inlaid with fruitwood and ebonised lines, the D-shaped eared rectangular top above a fitted secretaire-drawer with nine cedar-lined small drawers and four pigeon-holes above a shaped green leather-lined writing-surface, with lock stamped 'I. BRAMAH PATENT' below a crown, above two mahogany-lined drawers, flanked on each side by a bow-fronted drawer above a hinged door enclosing a removable shelf, the sides with a conforming simulated drawer above a panel, on tapering square feet, losses to the crossbanding, with remains of two depository labels printed 'TRENCHARDS (B'MTH) LTD. DEPOSITORY CUSTOMER'S NAME' and inscribed in ink on one '...20' and the other '...66', inscribed in chalk 'PA X 79'
