Pauillac, 1er cru classé. Château-bottled
Bin-soiled label. Level: base of neck
Tasting note: Now showing maturity at the rim. Incredible bouquet: immediately forthcoming, with a vigorous fragrance, a sort of essence of Cabernet Sauvignon, spicey, cinnamon, eucalyptus. Like the Latour it appears to have become sweeter but is still full-bodied, very rich, very concentrated, mouthfilling, spicey, still born aloft by its alcohol, acidity and tannins though the latter are softening - a little. What a wine. I have often given it 21 out of 20, and 6 stars. M.B.
