A GEORGE III MAHOGANY DOUBLE-CHAIRBACK SETTEE
Circa 1760
The double-chairback with acanthus-carved eared serpentine crestrail above incurved stiles and pierced interlocking vertical splats, a ruffled shell carved to the shoe between the two chairbacks, the broad acanthus-carved arms with out-turned terminals on downswept chanelled supports, the blue damask silk-upholstered seat above chamfered square legs with pierced fretwork angles joined by an H-stretcher and on leather casters
