The rounded square top with brass stringing and brass anthemion to each corner centered by a specimen marble chessboard, the marbles including Egyptian porphyry, agate, bluejohn, lapus lazuli, bloodstone, and malachite within a verde antico surround, two sides with a short drawer and a simulated short drawer, the other two sides with two simulated drawer fronts, upon a grained columnar stem with circular base, the four hipped splayed square legs with brass lions' paw feet and casters
