A PAIR OF GOLD AND AMETHYST EARRINGS
LATE ROMAN/EARLY BYZANTINE, 4TH-6TH CENTURY A.D.
Each tapering gold hoop with knobbed terminal, hung with three suspension loops and three loop-in-loop chains with central amethyst bead terminal flanked by beaded seed pearl terminals, 2 5/8 in. (6.6 cm.) high av.; a Roman gold overlap bracelet, the hoop with spirally twisted terminals coiling around the opposite end, circa 3rd Century A.D., 2 1/8 in. (5.4 cm.) diam.; and a necklace strung with Egyptian turquoise glazed composition spherical beads alternating with mainly later gold spherical beads with filigree decoration, modern clasp, restrung, 18¼ in. (46.3 cm.) long (4)
