An automaton Egyptian harpist
the papier-mâché figure with closed smiling mouth, blue glass eyes with articulated lids, and black hair wig, kneeling before a harp, on oak base with fretwork panels containing the crankwind stop/start mechanism playing two airs and causing her to turn her head, bend from the waist, blink and pluck the harp with both hands, in cream blouse below embroidered waistcoat, matching hat, loose veil, and sequinned velvet slippers - 35in. (89cm.) high, (replacement motor)
