Possibly Germany, circa 1890
On domed oval base with waved outer rim, chased with naturalistic fruit and putti, the ivory body with an intricate carving of an ancient Greek scene, various women, men and children working, dancing and playing music during the wine vintage, the double scroll handle with a shaped pan at the centre, high domed cover with thumb piece, with waved outer rim and chased with a band of fruit, an ivory putti finial sitting on a stump holding a bunch of grapes in his hand
