Maker's mark JS, Dublin, 1861; also struck with retailer's mark of West & Son
The baluster-shaped jug on circular domed foot embossed with flowerheads and fish skin, the body embossed with scrolls, flowers, foliate, two cartouches, and several applied fantasy figures, the long neck engraved and embossed with foliage, helmet-shaped spout with hinged cover with flower finial, scroll handle with bone insulators
