The nickel plated self-winding chronometer movement numbered G89410, the matt white dial with raised gilt dagger numerals, luminous hands and sweep centre seconds, date aperture, the steel case with pink gold milled bezel with five minute indexes, screw down winder and screwed back, case, dial and movement signed
36 mm. diam.

Lot Essay

The model 6075, introduced in 1954 replaced the 5031 (see previous lots), the principle difference being the introduction of the new "Super Oyster" non screw down crown, although most of these have now been replaced. It was also the last Datejust to use the A295 movement and therefore the last of the "Big Bubble Back" models. As such it marked a turning point in both the Datejust's and the company's progress.
