Surmounted by a pair of scantily-clad bacchantes, the fluted shaped case flanked to each side by a putto with an urn standing on a tasselled drapery-covered base, the circular blue and white enamel and gilt dial surrounded by acanthus, with Roman numerals and Arabic minute divisions, signed Raingo Frères/ PARIS, the twin-train movement with countwheel striking on a bell, on shaped base hung with tasselled drapery to the front and inset with a band of scrolling acanthus, supported on the backs of a pair of recumbent lions and on fluted toupie feet
