A French ormolu-mounted coromandel lacquer and tulipwood meuble d'appui
In the Transitional Style, Early 20th Century
Of breakfront outline, the moulded rectangular brocatelle marble top with re-entrant rounded corners, above a frieze decorated with a central mask flanked by flowerhead mounts and trailing husks angle clasps, inscribed Linke to the right hand side, above a central door with a fielded lacquer panel decorated with an arrangement of flowers and vases, flanked to either sides by a semi-arched quarter-veneered parquetry fielded panel, the interior fitted with three shelves, above an undulating apron centred with a trellised cartouche issuing scrolling foliage, on foliate-capped short cabriole legs with scrolling sabots
